Open Source Involvement

Open source is a new trend on software. It is a new way to build software, where everyone involved wins. Every bug reported, every contribution made is appreciated by a large base of users. New ideas and suggestions made by users creates an organic community around the project. Releases and bugfixes are available faster than on any closed source product.

Castle Stronghold firmly believes in Open Source as an approach to develop, improve and mature a product. It is also a chance to show everyone the quality of our work and our architecture and design skills.

That is why the development team at Castle Stronghold is deeply involved with open source for a long time. Since 2002 we have been involved on Apache Avalon Project, Apache Excalibur, fixed the transactional infrastructure on Apache Geronimo, started the Aspect# and finally started the Castle Project which is changing the way enterprise applications are built.
